Come back home to yourself

Experiencing how body, mind and environment come together in movement

About The Explore Practice

The Explore Practice spans from the physical to the reflective, each session, class or workshop offering varying degrees of each.

The Explore sessions are guided group sessions in which you move and connect with the world inside and around you. Recurring elements of the practice are:

- grounding and connecting with the floor

- selfmassage

- exploring and landing in the space inside and around
- shaking
- movement research and free movement

With music and through movement we tap into the continuous flow of energy that we share. With curiosity we allow ourselves to listen to what is already there. While observing and reflecting on hidden judgements, expectations, and other ways in which we may hold ourselves back from feeling safe and free to express, we come closer to what we need in the moment.

So that eventually, we leave the sessions feeling more free, more connected, empowered, and more at home in our bodies and with each other.

About Ummi

The Explore Practice is developed and facilitated by Ummi Yanuba. Ummi graduated as a professional dancer and is a certified Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises provider. She does ongoing research into the topic of Embodied Wisdom, combining the fields of cognitive science, neurosciences and philosophy with her expertise in movement and dance.

During her education she fell in love with the endless depth of movement and it’s powerful potential to bring us new insights and make us feel more connected from inside out. To be able to share this love with others, she created The Explore Practice.
